Bhubaneswar, Dec 8: Taking stock of the progress in roads and
connectivity, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday directed immediate
commencement of work on a number of critical road and bridge projects across
the State. The road development and bridge construction projects valued at over
₹ 90 crores will give a huge boost to connectivity in the hinterlands.
The projects include Pendurabadi- Bomkai road in Ganjam
district, Amapani- Dharmagarh in Kalahandi district and Balangir to Chandanbhati
road. Besides, a bridge would be constructed on Mahanadi river on the Chiplima-
Kugunudarpur road in Sambalpur district. Additional funds have been sanctioned
for completing the Railway overbridge on Lingaraj Road between Bhubaneswar and
Retang stations.
