CIPET Service Centre at Paradip

Bhubaneswar, November 16, 2017: With an aim to provide
technical supports for the new upcoming plastic industries in Paradip region, CIPET
Bhubaneswar is setting up an exclusive Service centre in port town Paradip, announced
Union Petroleum and Natural Gas and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship
Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday. 
The centre is being set up at Siju village in Paradip in Jagatsinghpur
district.
CIPET Odisha has four centres namely CIPET- High Learning
Centre in Patia, Bhubaneswar; Laboratory for Advanced Research in Polymeric
Materials (LARPM) (R&D wing of CIPET) in Patia, Bhubaneswar; CIPET – MCTI
campus in Mancheswar, Bhubaneswar and Advanced Plastics Processing Technology
Centre (APPTC) in Balasore.
“This new service centre is exclusively set up for the
development of plastic industries in this region,” said Pradhan while inaugurating
the Petrochemical Investors Conclave-2017.
He said state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities in design,
conventional and advanced tool manufacturing, plastic processing such as Injection
molding, extrusion blow molding, stretch blow molding, thermoforming, extrusion,
raw material and finished product testing, which will play a big support for
the growth of the plastic and allied industries in the region, will meet the
day-to-day requirements of the plastic industries in terms of design, tooling,
processing and testing and provide skill up gradation/re-skilling as per
Plastic industry requirements.
CIPET is providing 36 skill development training programs to
petrochemical sector approved by National Skill Development Agency benefiting
around 80,000 youths per year nationally and 8,000 youths in Odisha enabling
supply line of skilled manpower required for the petrochemical sector in the
region.
