HDFC Bank BPO inaugurated in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, February 8, 2018: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on
Thursday inaugurated HDFC Bank BPO, Skill Development and Training Centre in
Bhubaneswar. 
The centre will employ about 200 persons for back-office
operations and more than 500 in future as it grows in to an all-India processing
hub for the bank.
The bank has promised to develop this centre as its major all
India business processing hub which will create immense job opportunities for
our youth.
“The skill development and training centre will empower our
youth with best-in-class skills in various fields and give a boost to our
mission to make Skilled-In-Odisha a Global Brand,” said Patnaik.
Maintaining that Bhubaneswar has emerged as one of top
investment friendly cities to do business in India and is recognized as major
education hub in eastern India, Patnaik said that the  State Government has taken up skill development
in a big way, establishing Odisha Skill Development Authority for overall
direction to skill development programmes across sectors.
He expressed happiness for HDFC’s efforts for sustainable
livelihood initiative for empowering rural women, benefiting over 3.30 lakh families
through joint liability groups and SHGs with credit of about Rs 900 crore.
Assuring all necessary support from State Government, the Chief
Minister sought more banking outlets of HDFC in unbanked Gram Panchayats for
financial inclusion of people in the rural areas.
HDFC has opened up 33 branches in unbanked areas with three
in Malkangiri district
