108 Ambulance completes six years in Odisha, saves 21.65 lakh lives

Bhubaneswar: Started in 2013 to cater to the needs of those in distress, 108 Ambulance services completed six years in the State on Tuesday. Coping with many technical snags and other hurdles, 108 services team has tackled nearly 21.65 lakh emergencies in the State since its launching.

It has ferried and saved as many as 21,64,917 lakh valuable lives, said Sabyasachi Biswal of Ziqitza.

Dial 108 service is operated and managed by Ziqitza Healthcare Limited in partnership with NHM Odisha. Over the last five years, more than 21,64,917 patients have been served by 108 ambulance service. This service is controlled through a state of the art control room at Bhubaneswar.

To mark the anniversary, Ziqitza Healthcare Ltd organized a blood donation camp in its premises. More than 100 employees participated in the noble deed which was appreciated by Ollywood actress Archita Sahu.

Sabyasachi Biswal of Ziqitza, actress Sahu also graced the occasion. Ziqitza Health Care Ltd is currently operating 108 emergency ambulance services in all 30 district in the State through a fleet size of 512 ambulances.
