Bhubaneswar: In the wake of rising temperature, the State Government on Saturday declared morning classes in schools from April 2. Classes in all schools, including those managed by private parties have been rescheduled between 6.30 am and 10.30 pm.
In Government schools, midday meal will be served at 10am, according to a notification issued by the School and Mass Education Department.
The new academic session will begin from April 1 when all schools will observe Pravesh Divas along with Utkal Divas, Odisha’s Statehood Day.
Schools have been advised to complete all examinations by the end of March.
Schools will be closed for summer vacation from May 6, the order added.
