Bhubaneswar: BJP national president Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hit the campaign trail in Odisha on April 1 and 2, respectively, informed party spokesperson Golak Mohapatra on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to visit Jeypore on March 29.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Odisha visit schedule has been changed. He will visit Kalahandi on April 2 instead of April 1. Amit Shah will be in Paralakhemundi and Umerkote on April 1,” informed Mohapatra.
While Shah will be addressing two rallies in Parlakhemundi in Gajapati district and Umerkote in Koraput district on April 1, Modi will be addressing a rally in Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district on April 2.
Odisha is going for polls in four phases starting April 13. Assembly elections will be held along with the Lok Sabha elections in the State. The next phases are on April 18, 23 and 29.
The saffron party will contest in all the 147 Assembly seats and 21 Lok Sabha constituencies alone.
