Bhubaneswar: Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal was conferred with honorary doctorate in Public Administration by the Hanseo University, South Korea on Thursday in recognition to his outstanding contribution in the field of academics and public services.
After receiving the honorary doctorate in a ceremony organised at the university’s Seosan campus, the Governor addressed the students and faculty members and highlighted the importance of the education in public services.
Deputy Governor of Chungcheongnam-do Province and Charge d’ Affairs at Indian Embassy at Korea Satish Kumar Sivan, gave congratulatory speeches highlighting contribution of the Governor in the field of academics and public service.
The Governor has left for South Korea on a seven-day official visit on Tuesday. He had also a bilateral meeting with Seung-Jo Yang, Governor of Chungcheongnam province and discussed cooperation in agriculture, aquaculture, food processing and smart cities.
He also met Ki-sun Ham, President of Hanseo University and observed the development history of Naepo New Smart City presented by Chungcheongnamdo Development Corporation.
