Bhubaneswar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel Minister Amit Shah and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, were treated to home cooked Odia delicacies at Naveen Niwas, the residence of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday.
The Union Ministers and CMs relished relished rice and fish curry (Odisha besar style), baigan fry, aloo mutter masala, gucchi paneer, dal, tomato chatni, papad, roti, boondi raita, chhennapod and rasa malai.
Shah, Kumar and Banerjee drove to Naveen Niwas after to have lunch hosted by Chief Minister Patnaik after attending the 24th Eastern Zonal Council meeting held under the chairmanship of the former at the Lokseva Bhavan (Secretariat) Convention Centre here.
Later the Chief Minister tweeted, “Such a pleasure having the company of Union Home Minister @AmitShah ji, my colleague CMs, @MamataOfficial, @NitishKumar ji & Union Minister @dpradhanbjp ji at Naveen Niwas. Had a wonderfully interactive time over some home cooked #Odia delicacies.”
Notably, Odisha hosted the 24th Eastern Zonal Council meeting in Bhubaneswar. Chief Ministers of Bihar and West Bengal and Finance Minister of Jharkhand participated in the meeting. While Union Home Minister Shah is the Chairperson of the Council, the Chief Minister of the hosting State is the Vice-Chairperson.
