The decision will be implemented with retrospective effect from July 1, 2019. In February, the State Government announced to pay the revised DA from January 1, 2020 triggering resentment among the Government employees.
“The Government has been pleased to release additional dose of DA at 5 per cent enhancing the existing rate from 12 per cent to 17 per cent on the basic pay with effect from 01.07.2019 in favour of State Government employees covered under the ORSP Rules, 2017,” said a Finance Department notification.
“The additional dose of DA from 01.07.2019 to 31.12.2019 will be paid in cash,” it added.
