IAS officer Vineel Krishna, who returned from abroad, undergoes home quarantine

Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS officer R Vineel Krishna, who returned from abroad recently, underwent home quarantine.

The Sports Director and Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) MD registered himself in COVID-19 portal of the Odisha Government and preferred home 14-day quarantine despite not showing any symptoms yet.

In a video message he appealed to others returning from abroad to register in portal as per the Government directive.

On Monday, the Odisha Government in an attempt to contain the spread of novel Coronavirus, made it mandatory for foreign travellers to register their names on return to the State.

As per the guidelines, anyone who comes to Odisha from abroad on or after March 4 has to register himself/herself mandatorily with the toll free number 104 or the online portal. https://covid19.odisha.gov.in.

They will be provided an incentive of Rs 15,000 on completion of 14-day home quarantine.
