On March 20, Chief Minister Patnaik announced immediate implementation of Dynamic Assured Career Progression for Medical Officers of Odisha Medical and Health Services (OHMC) Cadre in a bid to boost the morale of the health personnel engaged in the fight against COVID-19 in Odisha.

He also directed to complete the entire exercise by April 30, 2020.

Though promotion of Medical Officers under DACP scheme was announced a year ago, Medical Officers could not get promotion under this scheme due to want of required PARs. In order to fast track the DACP, the Government has allowed one time relaxation for promotion under DACP scheme.
