Kangana Ranaut visits Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri; Says “Whole place has healing sweetness”

Puri, February 19: Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut on Friday paid a visit to Shree Jagannath Temple here and offered prayers to the sibling deities – Lord Jagannath, His elder brother Lord Balabhadra and their younger sister Goddess Subhadra.

Dressed in a cream-hued kurta set, the actress, best known for her role of Rani Laxmibai in her 2019 movie ‘Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi’, arrived at Singhdwara (Lion’s Gate) of the 12th century shrine at 5.45 AM in the morning and was welcomed into the temple premise by Singhari servitor Madhusudan Singhari, who also presented her with a beautiful painting of Lord Jagannath, flag, Hruday Padaka and Bhoga.

The actress looked sparkling with delight as she made her way to the 12th century shrine. She spent around one hour inside the shrine.

“Pulsating with the energy of his heart chakra, the whole place has a healing and soothing sweetness to it, enchanted,” tweeted the actress after the darshan.

In her reaction to media soon after the darshan, Kangana said that she was feeling blessed by paying a visit to the temple.

“I feel blessed on having darshan of the Supreme Lord. I pray before the almighty that the New Year usher happiness in the world. “Last year I had wished to perform a darshan of Lord Jagannath and His sibling and also prayed for a visit to the temple this year, which came true today,” Ranaut told reporters outside the shrine.

She also said, “I also wish the crew members of my upcoming movie ‘Dhakkad’ who helped me to fulfill my wish of coming here.”

Later, she shared a beautiful post on her Twitter handle by mentioning that the Shree Mandir is a unique place where Lord Krishna is being worshipped along with His siblings.

Madhusudan Singhari who welcomed the actress at the shrine said, “Kangana Ranaut spent around one hour inside the temple. She started the darshan from Lord Satyanarayan. Later, she sought blessings from ‘Mukti Mandap’ followed by visiting Bimala Temple, Laxmi Temple and finally the Mahaprabhu. She witnessed the entire ‘Mangala Alati’ ritual,” informed Madhusudan Singhari.

“We always see Krishna with Radha or Rukmani(Laxmi) but in Puri Jagannath Lord Krishna is placed with his siblings, Balrama n Subhadra(Arjun’s wife, Abhimanyu’s mom) Pulsating with the energy of his heart chakra whole place has a healing and soothing sweetness to it, enchanted,” she tweeted.

Notably, last year on December 22, the Mani Karnika fame had expressed her wish of visiting Shre Mandir in Odisha’s Puri on his Twitter handle.
