Bhubaneswar, October 13: DMK Parliamentary Party Deputy Leader Kanimozhi Karunanidhi on Wednesday met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas here.
During the meeting Kanimozhi handed over the letter of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin to Patnaik and explained about the problems faced by students from rural areas and from poor households in clearing NEET exams.
In his Letter Tamil Nadu CM Stalin has drawn the attention of his Odisha counterpart regarding the problems faced by students of rural base in clearing NEET UG examination and the need to make the exam inclusive.
Chief Minister Patnaik had earlier raised this issue with the Union Government and stressed the importance of making national exams inclusive and suggested the central Government to take steps in this regard covering NEET, IIT and UPSC.
Mustering support for his Government’s fight against the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin on October 4 wrote to his counterparts in 12 States, including Odisha, calling for united efforts to restore the primacy of the States in administering the education sector as originally envisaged in the Constitution.
