New Delhi, August 12: The Centre on Friday notified appointment of two Judicial Officers -Gourishankar Satapathy and Chittaranjan Dash – as judges of the Orissa High Court.
The Supreme Court collegium led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramana had recommended their names for elevation on July 25.
“In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri (1) Gourishankar Satapathy and (2) Chittaranjan Dash, to be judges of the Orissa High Court, in that order of seniority, with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices,” read a notification issued by the Ministry of Law & Justice on Friday.
