Bhubaneawar February 10: Maintaining that OAS officers make significant contribution to execution of policy initiatives of State Government, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday said that Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) is the nucleus of the State administration.
Gracing the general body convention of the OAS Association at KIIT auditorium here, Patnaik said, “Odisha Administrative Service is the nucleus of the State administration. OAS officers shoulder the responsibility of citizen centric services effectively at the grassroots level.”
“They have played a pivotal role in efficient implementation of good governance and 5T initiative in Odisha,” said the Chief Minister.
The twin initiatives of 5T and Mo Sarkar have helped transform the governance mechanism, and thrust on attitudinal changes among the Government officials towards the common citizens, added Patnaik.
He also underscored that Odisha desires and deserves to be the best in everything.
“I hope the administration to be active, dynamic and energetic enough to accept changes, and work accordingly to achieve the dream of a prosperous Odisha. I also expect that the OAS officers will work dedicatedly in all endeavours of the State, and be the fulcrum of initiatives,” said the Chief Minister.
