Bhubaneswar, May 2: The Bhubaneawar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday launched “Ward Re Dine” (A day in a ward) – a citizen connect programme at Ward no 67.
The programme is aimed at strengthening grassroots initiatives through participation of people. This outreach activity is designed to go to people and talk to them and widen the circle and intensity of community participation.
Today’s programme started at about 6.30 AM at Mini Park in front of Ekamra College. The programme was inaugurated by BMC Mayor Sulochana Das. BMC Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange and local corporator Madhusmita Pradhan were also present.
About 100 citizens comprising colony residents, villagers, SHGs, resident welfare association members and senior citizens joined in the programme.
