Bhubaneswar, May 8: A low pressure area has formed over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea at 8.30 AM on Monday.
“It is likely to intensify into a depression on 9th May over the same region and further into a cyclonic storm over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of East Central Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea on 10th May,” said an IMD bulletin.
“It is likely to move initially north-north-westwards towards east-central Bay of Bengal till 11th May. Thereafter, it is likely to re-curve gradually and move north-northeast wards towards Bangladesh-Myanmar coasts,” it predicted.
