Odisha Govt to enroll farmers left-out of KALIA Scheme

Bhubaneawar, May 8: The Odisha Government will carry out a drive in all blocks across the State to ensure inclusion of all the left-out beneficiaries under Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA).

Decision to this effect was taken in a review meeting on implementation of KALIA scheme in the State, chaired by Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain on Monday here.

On the occasion, threadbare deliberations were held on present status and achievements made so far.

It was decided in the meeting that the Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment will conduct a drive in all blocks to ensure inclusion of left-out KALIA beneficiaries.

It was further proposed in the meeting to set up of KALIA Commission and to bring more technical and professional courses and private institutions under the purview of KALIA Scholarship.
