New Delhi/Bhubaneawar January 2, 2023: Kala Utsav 2022 will be organised by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, from 3-7 January 2023, at Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Bhubaneshwar.
The inaugural ceremony of Kala Utsav will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM. The ceremony will be inaugurated by the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The other dignitaries who will grace the occasion are the Secretary, School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India, Sanjay Kumar and Director, National Council Of Educational Research and Training, Professor Dinesh Prasad Saklani.
Kala Utsav 2022 which will be held from 3-7 January 2023 will witness performances in 10 art forms – Vocal Music – Classical, Vocal Music – Traditional Folk, Instrumental Music – percussive, Instrumental Music – melodic, Dance – Classical, Dance – Folk, Visual Arts (2-dimensional), Visual Arts (3-dimensional), Indigenous Toys and Games and Drama (Solo acting).
Students will showcase their art in all these genres. Kala Utsav 2022 has received 714 entries from 36 States and Union Territories, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti of which 357 girls and 357 boys shall participate including seven Divyang.
The competitions will be held on January 3, 4 and 5 which will be judged by a galaxy of artists as jurists.
The valedictory function will be held on January 7, 2023. The Chief Guest for the function will be Union Ministers of State (Education) Annpurna Devi, Dr. Subhas Sarkar and Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh.
