Bhubaneswar, September 23: The Odisha Government on Monday issued terms of reference (TOR) for one-man commission of Inquiry led by retired High Court judge Justice Chitaranjan Dash, formed to probe the incident in which an Indian Army officer and his fiancée were allegedly manhandled at Bharatpur Police Station in Bhubaneswar and the woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by on-duty police personnel.
The Commission will publish notification inviting affidavits and grievances on September 30.
The office of the Commission will work from the Circuit House in Bhubaneswar.
Yesterday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi ordered judicial probe into the alleged torture of an army officer and the “sexual assault” of his fiancee at a police station here.
The fiancée of the Army officer was allegedly assaulted and molested by the police personnel at the Bharatpur police station, including IIC Dinskrushna Mishra while they had gone to lodge a complaint over a road rage incident involving students of engineering and management in private colleges in Bhubaneswar on September 15 night.
