Odisha Transport Commissioner tutors IPS trainees on Motor Vehicle Laws

Bhubaneswar, November 19: As many as seven trainee IPS officers, who recently joined the Indian Police Service (IPS), received detailed training on motor vehicle laws. The training session was conducted at Bhubaneswar Regional Transport Office-1 under the chairmanship of Transport CCommissioner and senior IPS officer Amitabh Thakur.

The newly appointed officers were welcomed and congratulated by the Transport Commissioner, who shared his experience with them. He discussed the public expectations and responsibilities associated with their role. The officers were briefed on their upcoming duties, with a special emphasis on the government’s initiatives to prevent road accidents and the vital role of law enforcement officers in ensuring successful implementation.

Discussions also focused on key areas of the law. Furthermore, issues related to traffic problems, awareness, and public behavior were deliberated upon.

The training session saw participation from trainee IPS officers – Rakesh Kumar Sahoo, Ananya Abasthi, Bhosale Shubham, Shiva Maruti Reddy, Archita Mittal, Varshitha Adepu, and Manisha Meena.

Senior officials from the Odisha State Transport Authority, including Additional Transport Commissioner Dipti Ranjan Patra, Joint Transport Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Mohanty, Soumendra Pattnayak, Bikash Chaudhury, and BPSPA Deputy SP Sujata Mishra, were also present.
