Bhubaneswar, November 20: The website of the Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) is down for more than a month which is proving to be a major concern for the people seeking lodging of complaints online and also to know their case status.
“Even the OHRC has a website where every information is provided for people, but we are facing a lot of problems as there is no one to guide us as to where we should go. I have been running from pillar to post for more than a month to lodge a complaint online and also to know the status of a grievance that I registered six months ago,” said one Prem Chaundhury from interior Koraput.
“The OHRC should ensure such services of filing online complaints are restored as soon as possible.
“I tried filing a complaint online, but in vain as the website is non-functional for more than a month now. OHRC should ensure such services of filing online complaints are restored,” said a rights activist.
The activist urged Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who also holds the Home portfolio, to intervene and ensure that the human rights body’s website is functional at the earliest for the interest of the people deprived of their rights.
