Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday inaugurated International Center and the School of Government and Public Affairs (SGPA) at the new campus of the Xavier University, Bhubaneswar (XUB) at Nijigarh in Harirajpur area in Khurda district.
Speaking on the occasion Patnaik said that it’ll augment capacity building of the youth in areas of policy research and empower young aspirants to realize their leadership potential.
Stressing on policy making and governance as keys to sustainable growth and equitable development, the Chief Minister highlighted transformation at all levels through teamwork, transparency and technology in a time-bound manner, emerging as a model state in good governance.
With the aim of providing state-of-the-art facilities to the students and striking out and exploring new paths, the Xavier University opened the facility aims to build leadership potential of the State and help create a huge network of capacity-built future change agents in governance, public affairs, and policy.
It also aims to produce, develop, and nurture future leaders of Odisha with special attention to youth, women, tribal, and the disadvantaged. The school offers a degree in Master of Public Policy (with a concentration in Business).
XUB Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Antony R Uvari, among others, was present.
