Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Police on Thursday opened a helpline number (0674- 2620200) for smooth movement of all goods carriers on national and State highways in the State during the nation-wide lockdown enforced by the Central Government to prevent the spread of deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
The helpline will be open from 8 am to 8 pm daily. Crime Branch SP Sudhanshu Mishra will be in charge of the helpline.
Drivers or operators of goods transport vehicles can approach the helpline in case of need for guidance or remedial action.
“During LOCKDOWN period of COVID-19, Odisha Police is committed to smooth movement of all goods vehicle on National Highways and Roads of Odisha. Accordingly, a helpline has been opened with Phone No. 0674-2620200. This helpline will remain open from 8.00 hrs to 22.00 hrs everyday. Drivers and Operators of goods transport vehicles can approach the “Helpline” in case of need for guidance or remedial action,” said a communiqué of the State Police Headquarters.
“Sudhansu Sekhar Mishra, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Crime Branch, Odisha is in overall charge of the helpline,” it said.
