Odisha’s Sudarsan sets new record with 50 unique sand sculptures of Lord Ganesha across the globe

Puri, August 27: Internationally acclaimed Indian sand artist and Padma Shri Awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik has been honored with a new record by the World Records Book of India for creating 50 unique sand sculptures of Lord Ganesha across multiple countries, including Germany, Italy, Russia, Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, Scotland, and various locations across India.

Each sculpture was individually crafted with powerful and timely messages addressing critical global issues such as climate change, environmental conservation (Go Green), global warming, peace, and harmony. The project stands as a global expression of art, culture, spirituality, and social responsibility.

Sushma Narvekar, Chief Editor & Founder of the World Records Book of India, officially congratulated Shri Pattnaik via email, and sent him both a certificate of achievement and a letter of appreciation, recognizing this as a historic and unmatched artistic contribution on an international scale.

This record marks a pioneering milestone in the world of sand art – no other artist globally has created such a wide-ranging, socially impactful, and spiritually meaningful series of Lord Ganesha sculptures across so many countries.

This exceptional achievement further solidifies Pattnaik’s legacy as a global cultural ambassador, using his artistic talent to spread messages of unity, awareness, and sustainability through the medium of sand.
