Odisha bans fixing of coaching centre ads near exam centres

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government on Monday banned fixing
of banners or posters for publicity of coaching centres near the High School
Certificate (HSC) examination centres. 

The State School and Mass Education Department has issued a
circular to this effect directing all the District Education Officers to take
necessary steps to prohibit fixing of banners, posters of various coaching
centres in front of gates, boundaries and prohibited areas of the examination
centres.

  

“It has been noticed that several coaching centres are
putting up posters near the HSC examination centres and also distributing
pushing cards and leaflets for their advertising purpose which caused dilution
of attention of the examinees,” the circular issued by said departmental
