New MSME Minister reviews department works

Bhubaneswar:
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Pension and Public Grievance
Minister Jogendra Behera has reviewed the work process of his department and its
subsidiary institutions on May 31.
Behera
lauded the on-line registration system to aware entrepreneurs and set up of
enterprises. But, the Minister expressed concern over less budget allocation
for the Department in the current financial year and suggested the Department
Secretary to take necessary steps for more budget allocation.
The
Minister discussed mainly on issues like activities of Directorate of
Industries, Directorate of Export Promotion and Marketing, Small Industries
Corporation, State Finance Corporation, Orissa Khadi & Village Industries
Board.
The
Minister Behera stressed on setting up of small and micro industries in rural
sector by utilizing the raw materials available in various parts of the state,
besides emphasisng on developing the downstream and ancillary industries under
Ordnance Factory of the Union Government at Saintala in Balangir district and
other Centre run PSUs in the state. 
Among
others, Department Secretary Panchanan Das, Additional Secretary FM Nayak,
Director of Industries Mr. Nityananda Palai, Director EPM Mr. Bijay Kumar Das,
Odisha Small Industries Corporation Director Mr. Bibhuti Bhushan Behera, Khadi
Board Secretary R Kerketa, Additional Director Industries and other senior
officials were also present in meeting.
