Odisha BJP reviews poll results

Bhubaneswar: Top Odisha
State BJP leaders along with State president KV Singh Deo, in-charge of State
affairs Arun Singh, BJP Legislature Party Leader Basant Panda, Union Minister
Dharmendra Pradhan, Manmohan Samal, Suresh Pujari, Nayan Kishoer Mohanty assembled
here on Saturday and began a brainstorming session over poll results in the recently
concluded Assembly and Lok Sabha polls.
The party expressed
resentment that plenty of black money, human force and Government machinery
used in the polls held in April this year. There was a difference between total
voters polled and number of polled-votes found after the counting. It indicates
that the election was wrongfully managed. Some leaders also alleged that Presiding
and Polling officers did not provide EVM numbers to BJP agents at many places,
said a release issued by the party.
“Huge black money and
human force were used in the general elections this year,” added the release.
Stating that
importance of regional parties is decreasing gradually, the leaders called upon
party leaders to work whole heartedly for the party in Odisha.
