First time in eastern India: IMS Academy opened at KIIT varsity

Bhubaneswar: Aug 26: For the first time in eastern India an
IMS Academy, a segment of global IT Infrastructure Management Services (IMS) of
Tech Mahindra was inaugurated here at the KIIT campus.
The academy has capacity to train over 400 students
annually. The IMS Academy will provide a range of training facilities in
various domains of Infrastructure services to meet the growing needs of the
industry. Students can receive training in IMS skills while pursuing their
respective courses at their College / University.
The tie-up with KIIT is the first of its kind in the eastern
part of the country and would help students to be fully prepared to meet
industry requirements with the right level of skills and aptitude.
Students from other institutions in the region apart from
KIIT University can also be a part of this program if they meet the eligibility
criteria. The IMS Academy is expected to bridge the growing talent supply gap
in the area of IT Infrastructure Management Services (IMS).
Dr. Mr. Raju Wadalkar, CTO (Telecom), Mr. Duraivel A. Gopal,
VP-IMS, Mr. Jothiganesh N., VP-IMS, Mr. JVS Prasad, Group Practice Head-IMS and
Ms. Sita Manukumar, Practice Head-Academic Relations were present from Tech
Mahindra during the Inaugural Function. KIIT University, Bhubaneswar was
represented by Dr. A. Samanta, Founder (KIIT & KISS), Prof. P.P.Mathur,
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, KIIT University and Dr. SasmitaSamanta, Registrar
along with Deans, Directors and senior faculty members.
