Nabard sets Rs 10K-cr aid for Odisha this yr

Bhubaneswar, Sep 30:
The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) had extended
financial assistance to the tune of Rs 8,400 crore to Odisha during
2015-16. 
The Nabard provided
funds for lending to farmers, construction of rural infrastructure like roads
and bridges and irrigation structures.
During the current
year, the Nabard has set a target to provide financial assistance of Rs 10,000
crore.
During the last three
years, the Nabard has has been able to touch the lives of the rural people
under the able guidance of Regional Head SK Kale.
On the eve of his
retirement, Kale met Chief Secretary AP Padhi and other senior Government and
bank officers and wished them all success in forwarding the rural Odisha in the
path of growth.
