Magnitude of corruption in Odisha police lowest among States: Survey

Bhubaneswar, Nov 7: Odisha is the only State where the
magnitude of police corruption is the lowest, says a study conducted by Local
Circles.
An independent organization Local Circles had undertaken a
nationwide survey titled “India Corruption Poll” recently in social
media to ascertain the magnitude of corruption in different organizations and
States. The organization also studied the magnitude of Police corruption in
different States of India.
In the poll survey, it is found that Odisha is the only State
where the magnitude of Police corruption is the lowest.
In the States like Rajasthan and West Bengal the magnitude of
Police corruption is the highest, while it is high in the States of Uttar Pradesh,
Maharastra, Gujurat, Karnatak, Tamilnadu, Delhi, Hariyana, Telangana and
Jhadkhand.
Similarly, the magnitude of police corruption is moderate in
the States of Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.
No polling was conducted in the States like Jammu & Kashmir,
Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Sikim, Arunachal, Assam,
Meghalaya, Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur and Nagaland.
