Bhubaneswar, Nov 10: Bakul Foundationand Uber have come together to help the citizens of Bhubaneswar in spreading
smiles among underprivileged children this Children’s Day.
Many citizens of the city have been
contributing books, clothes and toys to Bakul over the years that has helped it
set up libraries and toy banks for children in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and other
places in Odisha in addition to giving clothes to the children in need.

Uber is going to make it very easy for
people to contribute for the cause of children this Children’s Day with the
feature of UberDONATE on November 12 and 13.

On those days, riders can open the
Uber app on their smartphone between 11 am and 5 pm, slide over to the
UberDONATE icon and hit request. Once confirmed, an Uber will arrive at the
doorstep of the rider to pick up the items they would like to donate for
children. All donations collected by Uber over the two days will be given to
Bakul Foundation.

The items one can donate are books
(old and new but preferably children’s storybooks), toys, children’s clothes
(aged 5 to 18), stationery (pens, pencils, crayons etc.).
