Uncategorized
Bhubaneswar, Dec 4:  In
a bid to give sustainable employment to the rural youth, super economic growth
to the region and full advantage of the government’s India BPO Promotion Scheme
(IBPS) to the people, Balasore MP Rabindra Kumar Jena is all set to give the
district its first ever Rural BPO. The move is expected to bring IT revolution
in the district.
“In order to explore the potential of Balasore to emerge as a
knowledge centre as well as the human capital present in the intellectual
capital of Odisha, I have been talking to many leading players in this field
for some time now. Given the high literacy rate (80%) in the district and the
strategic location, Balasore is emerging as an important economic hub in East
India and a Rural BPO would go a long way in leveraging its tremendous
potential.”
“With the increased
government focus on transforming into a ‘Digital India’ and subsequent policy
initiatives pertaining to promotion of BPOs in the country, the environment is
extremely conducive for developing Balasore as a knowledge centre,” he added.
The said BPO will be
set up in the Jaleswar block of the district. To realise Balasore’s true
potential, more such centres in other areas of the district will be opened.
Candidates from only Jaleswar and Basta blocks can apply for job in this BPO.
They need to submit the form with requisites at the MP’s office. Selection will
be done by professionals and selected candidates will undergo certain
trainings. Job placement will be done on the basis of merit and skill.
Minimum criteria to be fulfilled by the interested candidates
are at least 10th and Plus II pass, 18 years of age, knowledge on Bengali, Odia
and English language and interest to work in shifts.
