CM distributes enabling equipment to 26,000 divyangs in Ganjam

Bhubaneswar, November 19, 2017: In line with the commitment
to welfare and empowerment of the differently-abled, Chief Minister Naveen
Patnaik on Sunday distributed aid, appliances and incentives to a record number
of 26,000 persons with disabilities during his visit to Ganjam district.
“Our government has launched several programmes for welfare
of the differently abled persons. We are equipping them with latest devices and
aids so that they can lead normal lives and be empowered to contribute to the
society and State,” said Patnaik.
The items included wheelchairs, tricycles and hearing aids.
The CM inaugurated New Super Specialty Block at MKCG Medical
College and Hospital, Berhampur, road over bridge between Gosaninuagam and Good
Shed Road and Bhanjanagar police station and also laid foundation stone for a
Government ITI and RTO office building in Bhanjanagar and Rural Development
bridge at Kokalaba.
