Winter Session of Parliament from tomorrow

New Delhi, December 14, 2017: The Winter Session of the
Parliament will begin from Friday.
On November 24, the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary
Affairs (CCPA) recommended convening of Winter Session of the Parliament from
December 15, 2017 to January 5, 2018, subject to exigencies of government
Three Bills – The Goods and Services Tax (Compensation to
States) Ordinance, 2017 (promulgated on 02.09.17), Insolvency and Bankruptcy
Code (Amendment) Ordinance, 2017, and Indian Forest (Amendment) Ordinance,
2017- will be tabled in the ensuing Winter Session.
Parliament will also discuss the Supplementary Demands for
Grants in this Winter Session.
Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Ananthkumar told media
persons that the ensuing Winter Session will have a total of 14 sittings over a
duration of 22 days.
