Biju Swasthya Kalyana Yojana to provide Rs 5 lakh aid per family from August 15

Bhubaneswar, June 12, 2018: Now, each and everyone visiting
any Government health institution from district to sub-centres level will be
provided all health services free of cost in Odisha, announced Chief Minister
Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday.
“One of our commitments is Universal Health Coverage. Today
in this regard I am happy to announce that each and everyone visiting any
Government health institution from district to sub-centres level will be
provided all health services free of cost,” announced Patnaik.
Further under the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana, secondary and
tertiary cashless health care assistance will be provided up to Rs 5 lakh per
family per annum from August 15 this year, the CM said.
About 3.5 crore people of the State covering more than 70
lakh families will be benefitted by the landmark initiative, said Patnaik,
adding that Drop Back Assistance of Rs 500 will be provided to all pregnant
women and infant who visit public health facilities.
All the three schemes will be implemented by the State
Government from August 15 this year, said Patnaik.
