Berahampur: Noted artist Satya Moharana, who is a famed creator of several attractive mini sculptures of wood, wheels and soap cakes, has been chosen to be conferred with the 5th Genius Indian Achievers’ Award.
Moharana, the only artist d from Odisha, figured in the list of 50 nominees selected from India and abroad by the Genius Foundation and World Record Sector of India.
He would receive the award at a special meeting to be held at Mumbai on May 12. The shortest Ganesh idols of 3 MM height inscribed in the 4.5 inch Rath, constructed by him during the Rath Yatra in 2018, has fetched him the award, said Moharana.
