Bhubaneswar/Berhampur: BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the top star campaigner of the BJD, will take to a hectic campaigning across the State for party’s Lok Sabha and Assembly candidates, fielded to contest upcoming elections, from April 3 to 27.
As only eight days is left for elections to be held in the first-phase for four Lok Sabha and 28 Assembly constituencies, the BJD supremo is set to begin campaigning in his home turf Ganjam district on Wednesday.
According to information, Patnaik would conduct road shows in almost all parts of Brahmapur city and directly talk to voters. Then, he would address a huge rally in the city. He would cover all four Lok Sabha and 28 Assembly seats, going to polls in the first phase on April 11, in Ganjam, Koraput, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur districts on or before April 9.
Patnaik would reach voters though special buses and hologram technology during his campaigning. He would be informing people about welfare programmes undertaken by his Government and negligence meted out to Odisha by the Union Government, said party sources.
He would keep addressing election rallies in constituencies in phases as per the election schedule.
Notably, there would be elections in four phases for the State’s 21 Lok Sabha and 147 Assembly seats, dates of which have been fixed on April 11, 18, 23 and 29, respectively.
