Rayagada/Gajapati: BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday termed the Central leaders ‘Biradi Baishnab’ (hypocrites).
The Chief Minister conducted road shows in Gunupur and Bissam Cuttack in Rayagada district and Mohana in Gajapati where he launched a scathing attack at the Centre over negligence towards Odisha and termed the Central leaders ”Biradi Baishnab”.
“The State witnessed massive destruction during cyclone Titli but the Centre gave assistance to Andhra Pradesh. The Centre refused to give rice to 30 lakh people. But, we are giving. The Centre has refused to fund our Aahar scheme. However, the State Government has been funding the programme entirely and we also have the Re 1 per kg rice scheme,” said Patnaik.
“This shows how they are concerned about Odisha. They all are Biradi Baishnabs,” charged Patnaik.
Reiterating that 4.5 crore Odia people are his family, Patnaik urged the people to cast votes in favour of BJD candidates during the ensuing elections by casting votes on the conch symbol.
He said that he will work for the people of Odisha still his last breath.
On the other hand, BJP national president Amit Shah today attacked the Naveen Patnaik Government alleging that the State Government is being run by “babus”. He also attacked urged people to vote for BJP both at the Centre and State to usher development.
