Cyclone FANI: ECoR Runs Special Trains between Puri-Kolkata

Bhubaneswar: A day prior to the landfall of extremely severe cyclonic storm Fani in Puri, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) will be running three special trains from Puri to Kolkata to evacuate tourists and visitors.

The first train will start from Puri at 12 noon and go towards Shalimar in Kolkata. It will have reserved as well as unreserved accommodation.

The train will have General, Sleeper, 3AC as well as 2AC coaches. It will reach Bhubaneswar at about 1:30 PM today.

The second train special train will leave from Puri at 3 pm towards Howrah while the third special train will leave for Howrah at 6 pm/

It will have stoppages at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur, Kenonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore, and Kharagpur.

Two special OSRTC bus arrangements have also made by Puri district administration for tourists in the wake of the cyclone. This will run between Puri and Kolkata.
