Pak Hindu team to visit Puri Jagannath Temple on Sunday

Bhubaneswar: A Hindu representative team from Pakistan would visit the Jagannath Temple at Puri, Sun Temple at Konark and Lingaranj Temple in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

The Odisha International Centre (OIC) and the Omkar Nath Mission (ONM) would facilitate their visits to the shrines and felicitate them.

The representatives would have darshan of Lord Jagannath on Sunday morning and visit the Sun Temple in the evening. They would have darshan of Lord Lingaraj on Monday morning and later attend a felicitation programme.

Noted persons like ONM chief Guru Kinkar Bithal Maharaj, former MP Tathagata Satpathy, former AIIMS Bhubaneswar Director Dr Ashok Kumar Mohapata, Kriyayoga Foundation chief Swami Shankarananda Giri and Bharatiaya Charitable Trust chairman Dr Kissanlal Bharatia would felicitate the Hindu representatives.

Seven eminent persons would be honoured with “Jatiya Sahmati Puraskar” (National Integration Award) on the occasion.

Educationist Dr Badrinath Patnaik and Utkal Journalists’ Association president Bibhuti Bhushan Kar informed this at a Press meet here. Among others, Indira Mishra, Jayaprakash Mishra and Prasant Kumar Sahu were present.
