Bhubaneswar: A total of 137 Sub-Inspectors were promoted to the rank of Inspector of Police in the State.
The promoted SIs are allowed promotion to the rank of Inspector of Police from the date of their assumption of higher charges in the scale of pay Rs 44900 in the level-10-Cell-1 in the pay matrix provided under Rule-3 of ORSP Rules, 2017, said an official release.
According to a State police headquarters’ communiqué, the promotions were considered by the Central Selection Board led by Director General of Police (SGP) Dr Rajendra Prasad Sharma.
“This is recognition of dedication, determination and commendable work of these cops. The promotion will be a motivation and inspiration for all these cops pushing them to perform better and proper,” said a senior police official.
