Odisha’s third Covid-19 patient visited Assembly dispensary apart from Kar Clinic: Govt

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s third new Coronavirus (Covid-19) positive man has come in contact with an Odisha Legislative Assembly staffer during his visit to the Assembly dispensary apart from Kar Clinic here, said State Government’s COVID-19 Spokesperson Subroto Bagchi.

“The third Covid-19 patient had consulted in Assembly dispensary on March 16 apart from visiting Kar Clinic. Hence, those who have visited the Assembly dispensary and Kar Clinic recently have been advised to stay under home quarantine for 14-days,” said Bagchi.

After the third positive case, Odisha may be moving to phase three of the community transmission.

Notably, a 60-year-old man was tested positive for COVID-19 in Bhubaneswar on Thursday, raising the number of novel coronavirus cases in Odisha to three.

Meanwhile, Assembly Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro said that all staff of the Assembly will be quarantined and entire Odisha Assembly building will be disinfected.

“Now, the Assembly will sit at the Convention Centre inside the Lok Seva Bhawan,” informed Patro.
