Bhubaneswar: The State Government on Monday made a provision of Rs 7,500 for handling and disposal of each COVID-19 positive dead body in the State, said an official order.
According to an order of the Health and Family Welfare Department, the expenditure for the purpose will be met out of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).
The State has, so far, reported 97 fatalities due to the Coronavirus. While the number of positive cases stands at 18110, there are as many as 5533 Active cases in the State. A total of 12,452 persons have recovered from the disease till now.
