Bhubaneswar, February 5: In order to build confidence among the front line workers in the State that the COVID-19 vaccines are safe and have no side effects, all senior State Government officials like DGP, Collectors and SPs will take the vaccine on Saturday.
The decision was taken at the Steering Committee Meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra.
“It has been decided that on 6th February, DG, Police and all senior police officers and in the district-level all the Collectors and SPs should take the vaccine on 6th February itself and tweet the same with their photo for awareness and confidence amongst others so that the vaccination programme would get the desired momentum,” said a Health and Family Welfare Department communique.
Today, Additional Chief Secretary (Health & Family Welfare) took the vaccine at the Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar.
