Bhubaneswar, December 2: Amid mounting concerns over the potentially more contagious coronavirus variant Omicron spreading to many countries, as many as 380 people have returned to Odisha from ‘at-risk’ countries.
“So far, total 380 persons have returned to Odisha from ‘at-risk’ countries. Of them, 224 persons have returned before November 28 and rest 156 persons have arrived on November 29,” informed Public Health Director Dr Niranjan Mishra.
Mishra said, “Travellers are following mandatory testing protocol and subsequent 7-day quarantine. The List of the foreign returnees has been submitted to concerned district administrations to take follow-up actions as per the guidelines.”
