Bhubaneswar, September 8: As many as 147 Common Cadre Auditors joined the Finance Department on Thursday. They were given appointment letters at an induction and orientation programme graced by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik through virtual mode.
The Chief Minister asked the new entrants to work hard, with utmost sincerity, adopts new technology and gives their best to the job they have been selected for.
“We must keep it in mind that every single pie we are getting as salary and other emoluments comes from the people of the State,” said Patnaik.
“As Auditors, you are expected to oversee the utilization of Government funds and ensure effectiveness in public spending,” said Patnaik.
Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari, Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra and Principal Secretary (Finance) Vishal Dev also graced the occasion.
Three new recruits Stephie Mallia, Janmejaya Mahanta and Mamata Sahu shared their experience of recruitment process.
