STAMP 3.0 kicks off to give Bhubaneswar a new look ahead of Hockey World Cup

Bhubaneswar, November 30: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday launched the third edition of the Street Art and Murals Project (STAMP 3.0) in order to give a new look to the State capital city’s walls with Odisha’s street art and murals ahead of the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup in January 2023.

Artists of the State as well as of national and international repute, engaged by Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi, will carry out the beautification drive covering 40 km stretch in Bhubaneswar.

BMC Mayor Sulochana Das unveiled the logo of the Stamp 3.0 in the presence of Deputy Mayor Manjulata Kanhar, BMC Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange, Additional Commissioner Suryawanshi Mayur Vikas and officials and artists of Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi.

Lalit Kala Akademi has engaged 50 artists for STAMP 3.0 of which 35 renowned as well as budding artists belong to the state whereas 10 artists will be of national level and five artists of international repute. At least 40 km main stretch will be covered on 12 themes in this Street Art and Murals Project.

“STAMP 3.0 will be a platform where Odisha’s art and culture will be showcased before the people visiting to Bhubaneswar from across the country as well as from different countries during the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup in January 2023,” said Mayor Sulochana Das.
