Bhubaneawar, December 4: Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar on Sunday visited AIIMS Bhubaneswar here and inaugurated a multiutility building on its premises.
The Minister reviewed the functioning of AIIMS with the senior officials. Interacting with the officials of AIIMS, she said the Government has launched several welfare schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and e-Sanjeevani in the health sector for the benefits of citizens.
Addressing the doctors and senior officials, Dr. Pawar said, “The Government under leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to provide accessible and affordable healthcare to all. I urge you all to work dedicatedly to facilitate health service for the poor and under-privileged.”
She also asked the officials to strengthen telemedicine facility and work towards reducing the waiting queue of the patients, so that maximum number of patients can avail the service.
The Minister also inaugurated a multiutility building at the campus and offered floral tribute at the Statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who had laid the foundation stone of the premier institute.
