Cuttack, September 11: The Commissionerate Police has issued a lookout circular against playback singer Sourin Bhatt after failing to locate him in Kolkata. Bhatt is facing sexual harassment allegations brought by a woman.
Recently, the Orissa High Court has rejected his pre-arrest bail plea in view of the gravity and seriousness of allegations against him and absence of material to deduce the accusations were made only to tarnish his image.
Bhatt had filed the anticipatory bail petition after a woman brought rape allegations against him in a complaint lodged at Mahila police station in Cuttack.
Notably, the woman had filed an FIR against Sourin at Mahila Police Station in Cuttack June 12, 2023 accusing him of false promises of marriage, cheating, torture and exploitation. As per the FIR, the woman, who is an employee in a private bank, came in contact with Sourin in 2015. He and the woman had been in the relationship for the past several years. Subsequently, Sourin allegedly deceived him forcing him to lodge a police complaint.
